PA12 Film (Nylon 12 Film / Polylaurylamide / Polydodecanamide Film) is a semi-crystalline long-chain polyamide film combining one of the lowest densities (~1.02 g/cm³) and lowest water absorption (~0.25%) across the nylon family, delivering stable dimensions under humid conditions. With melting point around 172–178°C and long-term use temperature in the 80–90°C range, it remains transparent, non-toxic and essentially inert for aroma/steam applications (water vapor transmission ~9 g/m²) while retaining properties after prolonged boiling-water exposure. Key strengths include high impact toughness (including sub-zero performance), good abrasion and surface lubricity, resistance to oils/fuels/salt solutions, and strong adhesion/sealing behavior when laminated to metals. DAFU supplies PA12 films in natural color, with glossy/matte and matte/velvet surface options, thicknesses from 0.05–0.80 mm, widths up to 1020 mm, length customized per order, supported by ISO9001/ISO14001 systems with SGS / MSDS documentation. Target uses span optical-component protective films, automotive fluid-system liners & barrier layers, food-contact protective/aroma-retentive packaging, cable protective sleeves, sports & leisure goods, and high-end footwear/fabric laminates.
